After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Maravilla's zone, Sebastião Queiroga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco-Antonio Campos came out of the goal and Sebastião Queiroga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atlético Maravilla's Marco-Antonio Campos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Maravilla from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Atlético Maravilla booed when FCPorto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Belém didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Teodoro Cavaco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FCPorto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Alfredo Lobo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodoro Cavacos short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Marco-Antonio Campos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dewa Cinta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xuaco Barro in the 18th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cordaro Viqueira in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dewa Cinta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute Teodoro Cavaco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco-Antonio Campos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute Xuaco Barro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dewa Cinta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, FCPorto's Marco-Antonio Campos threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Teodoro Cavaco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Marco-Antonio Campos stood somewhat misplaced when Teodoro Cavaco came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 44 minute. Cordaro Viqueira struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Dewa Cinta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Maravilla. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Teodoro Cavaco made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, FCPorto's Leonardo Belém got a free kick in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FCPorto's zone, Eguzki Casero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dewa Cinta came out of the goal and Eguzki Casero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th match minute, Atlético Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordaro Viqueira to maneuver through the defense. Xuaco Barro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Dewa Cinta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute Xuaco Barro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dewa Cinta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xuaco Barro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dewa Cinta having to make a save. 74 minutes into the match, Atlético Maravilla's Cordaro Viqueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dewa Cinta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Eguzki Casero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoro Cavaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco-Antonio Campos having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Cordaro Viqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dewa Cinta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FCPorto's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
