The supporters of Scorpions -MM- booed when Girona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Campomanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Uzuneanu in the 12th minute of play forced Girona FC's goalkeeper Toni Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Traian Uzuneanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toni Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Tinu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toni Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dan Tinu went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 30 minutes, Sebastián Maroto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Girona FC and the Scorpions -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Girona FC's Sebastián Maroto got a free kick in the 30th minute. Dan Tinu scored 0-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toni Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th match minute, Girona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastián Maroto to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Traian Uzuneanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toni Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Traian Uzuneanu made a kick off. Toni Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Uzuneanu in the 63rd minute of the match. Traian Uzuneanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
