Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bryce Paull to make the kick off. With a little luck, Darwin Saville FC's Philip Powderham got control of the ball when Sandu Alexa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Philip Powderham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arno Claußen, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Fabian Krinke struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Philip Powderham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rot-Weiss-Essen.
