But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Dominic couldn't finish the play. Quirze Lizana was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francisco Dominic showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Spor Las Huevas's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Dominic came free, but Quirze Lizana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mainumby booed when Spor Las Huevas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shepherd Herro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Dominic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gogo Mascire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Gau having to interfere. Mede Torriba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Francisco Dominic dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Quirze Lizana, 4-0. Quirze Lizana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Oinatz in the 39th minute. Spor Las Huevas's Quirze Lizana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Spor Las Huevas from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute Francisco Dominic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quirze Lizana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Mainumby made a substitution. Honorato Omero replaced Marco Erasto. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esteve Villajane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luis Semeno kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Spor Las Huevas's Quirze Lizana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Dominic in the 58th minute of play. Quirze Lizana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Omero, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After some careless play in the Spor Las Huevas defense, Armando Beltza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Quirze Lizana. The Spor Las Huevas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Quirze Lizana should have stopped the shot. Shepherd Herro kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Mainumby got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Olivar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gogo Mascire in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Gau saved Mainumby from getting behind. There was no doubt that Mainumby were the better team. Mainumby's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
