The audience was convinced that Carlos Naike's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Refugio was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 5th minute Honorato Ibon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Refugio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Gelacio in the 9th minute of play forced Gryffindor Lions's goalkeeper Rafael Refugio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Gryffindor Lions's Sixto Berasko got a free kick in the 11th minute. Gryffindor Lions's Rafael Refugio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Gelacio in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Ricardo Gelacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Refugio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angel Isusko hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Gryffindor Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Ibon came free, but Rafael Refugio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauricio Eneas's late challenge caught a CA Juventud Unida's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauricio Eneas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gryffindor Lions getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Mauricio Eneas hit a great ball. Rafael Refugio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Gryffindor Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Medina came free, but Rafael Refugio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Jeremias Medina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rafael Refugio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rafael Refugio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Monte, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Israel Geofredo kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Jeremias Medina took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Refugio. Rafael Refugio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Ricardo Gelacio fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CA Juventud Unida's protests and gave Ricardo Gelacio a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, CA Juventud Unida's Robustiano Calvet got control of the ball when Angel Isusko tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half CA Juventud Unida were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angel Isusko made a kick off. Epifanio Monte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Rafael Refugio made a huge save. Rafael Refugio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Ibon, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Carlos Naike kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Rafael Refugio came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by CA Juventud Unida's Ricardo Gelacio. But to his dismay, Ricardo Gelacio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The supporters of Gryffindor Lions booed when CA Juventud Unida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Belarmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Ricardo Gelacio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rafael Refugio. The goal made the score 0-5. After 66 played minutes Gryffindor Lions got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Calixto. Rafael Refugio made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Jeremias Medina sent off a good shot on target. Angel Isusko hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute of the match Carlos Naike sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafael Refugio skillfully saved the ball. In the 76th minute of the match CA Juventud Unida got a corner. Gryffindor Lions's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Naike ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carlos Naike made a great header on CA Juventud Unida's corner, it was just that Gryffindor Lions's Rafael Refugio managed to reach the ball for a save. 80 minutes into the match, Ricardo Gelacio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafael Refugio. Gryffindor Lions's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Gelacio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Rafael Refugio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Gelacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Refugio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Monte in the 84th minute of play. Ricardo Gelacio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. CA Juventud Unida's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
