After 31 played minutes, Gryffindor Lions's Mauricio Eneas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Justino Inko came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gryffindor Lions reached it. In the 39th minute, Salvador Oroitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Angel Isusko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justino Inko was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
