In the 19th minute of the match Bebeto Moura sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gottfrid Kullander skillfully saved the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cafu Filho made a kick off. With his leg Gottfrid Kullander managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Sagarana Clube's Cássio Prado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Costa in the 55th minute of play forced Hummerfiskarna's goalkeeper Gottfrid Kullander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sagarana Clube played a much better game than Hummerfiskarna and deserved their victory. The Hummerfiskarna players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
