The referee ignored Surahammar's protests and gave Stig Aronsson a yellow card for diving instead. Tiaguinho Moreno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Mikael Lundström made a huge save. In the 19th minute, 27 de Mayo's Tiaguinho Moreno dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Mikael Lundström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kauan Amaral to make the kick off. 27 de Mayo's Enéas Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erland Vikström in the 55th minute of play. There was no doubt that 27 de Mayo were the better team. 27 de Mayo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
