But to his dismay, Herberto Meireles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 26 minutes into the game, Guilherme Valério cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Ramón Leão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Pontassolense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dragões Barbudos FC the free kick. Ronaldo Barbosa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Thiago Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragões Barbudos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thiago Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesualdo Maltez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Laércio Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Herberto Meireles sped through Dragões Barbudos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ramón Leão. Herberto Meireles succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-5. 1-6 became the score in the 42nd minute when Herberto Meireles elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ramón Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herberto Meireles in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-6.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guilherme Valério made a kick off. Ramón Leão was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Jesualdo Maltez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Fonseca in the 65th minute of the match. After 66 minutes, Salvador Fraga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AD Pontassolense and the Dragões Barbudos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee ignored Dragões Barbudos FC's protests and gave Vicente de Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. After 77 played minutes Dragões Barbudos FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente de Mendonça. Ramón Leão made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Guilherme Valério sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herberto Meireles in the 84th minute of play forced Dragões Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Ramón Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Herberto Meireles in the 86th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Ramón Leão kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-10 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 90 minutes into the game, Guilherme Valério cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-11. Ramón Leão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AD Pontassolense walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
