After 13 minutes of play, FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Ivor Sadler made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolfo Ipar hit a great ball. Ivor Sadler showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. When the match was over FC Shakhtar Donetsk could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Catarinense F.C. throughout the match.
