The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Bengt Schouenborg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of FC Cvikovo booed when AB Tårnby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teis Okking didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Eli Touborg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AB Tårnby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Cvikovo the free kick. Eli Touborg kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Teis Okking received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Lars Teglbrænder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teis Okking got free with Lars Teglbrænder in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Koloman Šoukal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of FC Cvikovo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AB Tårnby:s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teis Okking got free with Lars Teglbrænder in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jiří Kalčík came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FC Cvikovo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jiří Kalčík couldn't finish the play. Jiří Kalčík struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Terkild Lukasen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Cvikovo. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, AB Tårnby's Lauritz Hasson got a free kick in the 51st minute. Terkild Lukasen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bořivoj Štorek, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Teis Okking charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teis Okking the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Cvikovo booed when AB Tårnby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teis Okking didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, FC Cvikovo's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaf Tiede came free, but Lars Teglbrænder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 minutes, Miroslav Hujer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Cvikovo and the AB Tårnby players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Cvikovo played a much better game than AB Tårnby and deserved their victory. The AB Tårnby players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
