Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Cachaça FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FCSB CUENCA:s goal. Eguzki Martinez might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelinho Teles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eguzki Martinez ran back to his position shaking his head. Frances Jaraba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Gabriel Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th match minute, Cachaça FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gabriel Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tiago Gabriel Dionísio made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Cachaça FC's Marcelinho Teles got control of the ball when Ionel Zărnescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frances Jaraba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionel Zărnescu in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelinho Teles saved Cachaça FC from getting behind. Marcelinho Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Zărnescu in the 71st minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Cachaça FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Lira to maneuver through the defense. Egídio Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute of the match Isaac Santalla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelinho Teles skillfully saved the ball. Frances Jaraba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Abreu in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to FCSB CUENCA getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Mei Qing Yang hit a great ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Ionel Zărnescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCSB CUENCA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionel Zărnescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frances Jaraba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Abreu in the 87th minute of the match. If Tiago Gabriel Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eguzki Martinez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Eguzki Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Eguzki Martinez took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Marcelinho Teles to make any attempt to save it. The FCSB CUENCA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FCSB CUENCA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
