Francisco Gaspar scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Babbis Petroutsos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute, Mathias Mandrak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rui Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panagiotis Mitsibonas in the 13th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Rafa Marques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diamond Football Club and the Drafi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Rafa Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes Diamond Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Peres. A collision led to Diamond Football Club getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Francisco Gaspar hit a great ball. José Vítor Catarinense hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Diamond Football Club's Rui Peixoto got control of the ball when Sakis Korakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Diamond Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Sakis Korakis came free, but Rui Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Diamond Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Marques to maneuver through the defense. If Tasos Kavvadias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ntinos Ioannidis in the 27th minute of play. Sakis Korakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Rui Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Drafi's zone, Mathias Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Babbis Petroutsos came out of the goal and Mathias Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Drafi's Tasos Kavvadias dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The supporters of Diamond Football Club booed when Drafi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panagiotis Mitsibonas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sakis Korakis was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes of play, Drafi's Sakis Korakis made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rui Peixoto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diamond Football Club's Rui Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tasos Kavvadias in the 58th minute of play. Luciano Barral's late challenge caught a Drafi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luciano Barral helped the player get up and apologised. Luciano Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Panagiotis Mitsibonas kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Drafi's Babbis Petroutsos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Gaspar in the 64th minute of play. Diamond Football Club's Luciano Barral got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luciano Barral received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Babbis Petroutsos came out and tried to block the shot, but Luciano Barral slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 69th minute. In the 76th match minute, Diamond Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Marques to maneuver through the defense. Rui Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakis Korakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Sakis Korakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafa Marques hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Argyris Ntounias hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Rui Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panagiotis Mitsibonas, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Gaspar got free with Babbis Petroutsos in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Drafi players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
