After 27 played minutes, Carloforte f.c.'s Cristoforo Melfi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicodim Arghirescu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carloforte f.c. reached it. In the 30th minute Codrin Aalexoaiei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Savoia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carpathian Wolves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carloforte f.c. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Carpathian Wolves's Iurie Bărboianu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Arturo De Vito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Nicodim Arghirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Iacovella got free with Nicodim Arghirescu in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joshua Homme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
