Vladimiro Eron's late challenge caught a Blumenau Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimiro Eron helped the player get up and apologised. Vladimiro Eron hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Yrigoyen.F.C's Jeronimo Pierres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Gerber in the 13th minute of play. Jeronimo Pierres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Florin in the 17th minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Raphael Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Yrigoyen.F.C getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Javier Feliu hit a great ball. Vladimiro Eron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raphael Furlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Jeronimo Pierres came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Blumenau Esporte Clube's Cleiton Trigo. But to his dismay, Cleiton Trigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Yrigoyen.F.C booed when Blumenau Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Yrigoyen.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cleiton Trigo came free, but Jeronimo Pierres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raphael Furlan made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Cesar Ourente sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, Cesar Ourente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raphael Furlan. Blumenau Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesar Ourente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 42nd minute, Cesar Ourente left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yrigoyen.F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Délio Gerber made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Délio Gerber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeronimo Pierres was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 55 minutes into the game, Tiago Dionísio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jeronimo Pierres. Tiago Dionísio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the last second Jeronimo Pierres throw himself and got hold of the ball when Flávio Meireles in the 59thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yrigoyen.F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Donato Mazza was slow to take the kick. During this time Blumenau Esporte Clube's players had a chance to rest. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Donato Mazza was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jeronimo Pierres in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 62nd minute, Reynaldo Arantes made a precise shot to the right of Jeronimo Pierres. Yrigoyen.F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Cesar Ourente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yrigoyen.F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesar Ourente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raphael Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Mazza got free with Jeronimo Pierres in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Blumenau Esporte Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Yrigoyen.F.C:s goal. Raphael Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Florin in the 80th minute of the match. Adrian Florin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Raphael Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
