The supporters of Villa Verde FC booed when Natingui FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alisson Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Willian Maia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Natingui FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villa Verde FC the free kick. After 15 played minutes Natingui FC got a freekick which was hit by Willian Maia. In the 16th minute of the match Betinho Lira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alisson Taffarel skillfully saved the ball. Eliseu Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Natingui FC's Alisson Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Lucas in the 21st minute of play. Alisson Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Velasco in the 22nd minute of the match. Alisson Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Baiano in the 24th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Natingui FC got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Peixoto. 28 minutes into the game, Claudinho Fantini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alisson Taffarel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Villa Verde FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Wilson Teles hit a great ball. The supporters of Natingui FC booed when Villa Verde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Fernandes's late challenge caught a Villa Verde FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. Emanuel Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Arí Lucas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alisson Taffarel. Natingui FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Raúl Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Natingui FC defense, Afonso Baiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alisson Taffarel. The Natingui FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alisson Taffarel should have stopped the shot. Villa Verde FC made a substitution. Willian Vergílio replaced Claudinei Duarte. Villa Verde FC made a substitution. Falcão Esteves replaced Joel Ramos. Villa Verde FC's Antônio Carlos Madureira was substituted for Humberto Velasco. After the first half Villa Verde FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseu Guerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Guerra in the 60th minute of play forced Villa Verde FC's goalkeeper Mac Dez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Natingui FC's Emanuel Fernandes got a free kick in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Natingui FC's goalkeeper Alisson Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arí Lucas. Mac Dez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Guerra in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Claudinho Fantini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alisson Taffarel. Natingui FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinho Fantini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Afonso Baiano struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Alisson Taffarel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Verde FC. Alisson Taffarel was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Antônio Carlos Madureira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antônio Carlos Madureira really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. 83 minutes into the match, Afonso Baiano notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Natingui FC's Alisson Taffarel. Alisson Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A sloppy throw-in by Wilson Teles in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Natingui FC's Eliseu Guerra. The supporters of Villa Verde FC booed when Natingui FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Villa Verde FC's Betinho Lira shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 90th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alisson Taffarel but with some difficulty. Alisson Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Afonso Baiano sent off a good shot on target. If Antônio Carlos Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Villa Verde FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Natingui FC throughout the match.
