The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Leif Olsmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Douchebags's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Night Cats the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Night Cats's Stefano Degener got a free kick in the 15th minute. If Hubert Carlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, SC Night Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Örjan Axelsson came free, but Sepp Meier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Örjan Axelsson in the 26th minute of play forced SC Night Cats's goalkeeper Sepp Meier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sepp Meier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubert Carlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute of the match FC Douchebags got a corner. SC Night Cats's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Richard Lindström ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC Douchebags's Hubert Carlberg to a score. 1-1 in the 31st minute. In the 39th minute of the match Torbjörn Dalström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sepp Meier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ralf Meier during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes SC Night Cats got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Meier.

Hubert Carlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Sepp Meier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hubert Carlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Örjan Axelsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Örjan Axelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sepp Meier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kasper Hellström in the 63rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Örjan Axelsson in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sepp Meier saved SC Night Cats from getting behind. In the 66th minute of the match FC Douchebags got a corner. SC Night Cats's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Richard Lindström ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 71 played minutes FC Douchebags got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Dahlberg. In the 75th minute, Steffen Kündgen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes, FC Douchebags's Richard Lindström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sepp Meier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Douchebags reached it. In the 78th minute, Hubert Carlberg fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sepp Meier, passed just outside the right post. Ralf Meier kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. If Ralf Meier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Meier in the 86th minute of play forced FC Douchebags's goalkeeper Ingvar Nord to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
