The referee ignored Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's protests and gave Oséas Palmeira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th match minute, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséas Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Baeza came free, but Toro Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Rocha was a little too slow when Jairo de Azevedo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Buenaventura FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
