In the 6th minute, Federico Menna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, FC Hollywood's goalkeeper Jan Schulz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonello Contaldi. After 11 minutes of play, FC Hollywood's Sven-Christian Ulrich made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Marzulli was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Horst-Peter Bernhard fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Hollywood's protests and gave Horst-Peter Bernhard a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lupi Grigi booed when FC Hollywood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horst-Peter Bernhard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lupi Grigi's Alex Marzulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Christian Ulrich in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lupi Grigi defense, Sven-Christian Ulrich kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Marzulli. The Lupi Grigi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Marzulli should have stopped the shot. Frank Borrelli hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Alex Marzulli came out of the goal and Norman Jagusch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Helmut Berrisch sped through Lupi Grigi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alex Marzulli. Norman Jagusch struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Alex Marzulli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Hollywood. Herbert Schröder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Alex Marzulli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, FC Hollywood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Koppers to maneuver through the defense. The Lupi Grigi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Hollywood were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Helmut Berrisch to strike the kick off in the second half. Jan Schulz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Berardinelli in the 51st minute of play. Lupi Grigi's Concetto Spinelli couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Hollywood. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Luchtenberg got free with Alex Marzulli in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 61 minutes, Federico Menna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lupi Grigi and the FC Hollywood players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Hollywood's supporters crossed their fingers, but Helmut Berrisch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
