The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldão Fenomeno got free with Rodolfo Rodríguez in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodolfo Rodríguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Fenomeno in the 7th minute of play. Ronaldão Fenomeno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute of the game Luiz Fabiano Magalhães made a throw-in which Artur Linares played forward. The supporters of RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18 booed when SC Conceição was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ronaldão Fenomeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Arif Devrim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SC Conceição's zone, Ronaldão Fenomeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Rodríguez came out of the goal and Ronaldão Fenomeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niceto Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldão Fenomeno did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Rodolfo Rodríguez 24 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ronaldão Fenomeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldão Fenomeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Rodríguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, SC Conceição's Luiz Fabiano Magalhães got a free kick in the 30th minute. A hard shot by Ariel Rey from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Rodolfo Rodríguez's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ronaldão Fenomeno received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rodolfo Rodríguez came out and tried to block the shot, but Ronaldão Fenomeno slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 34th minute. Rodolfo Rodríguez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 41 minutes into the game, Wellington Motta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Conceição's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18 the free kick. A collision led to SC Conceição getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Wellington Motta hit a great ball. Rodolfo Rodríguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Fenomeno in the 42nd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Ariel Rey got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rodolfo Rodríguez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 45 played minutes SC Conceição got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Jardel. After 47 played minutes SC Conceição got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Koehler. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niceto Ramirez was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Fenomeno in the 52nd minute of play forced SC Conceição's goalkeeper Rodolfo Rodríguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldão Fenomeno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Rodríguez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's Eduardo Rexino quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Álvaro Arósio, made in the 56th minute of the game. Rodolfo Rodríguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Ramirez in the 59th minute of the match. After some careless play in the SC Conceição defense, Niceto Ramirez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Rodríguez. The SC Conceição fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Rodríguez should have stopped the shot. RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18 made a substitution. Ma Xiang Yang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Rodríguez having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, SC Conceição's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Jaume came free, but Rodolfo Rodríguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Jaume in the 79th minute of play forced SC Conceição's goalkeeper Rodolfo Rodríguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Conceição's Rodolfo Rodríguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Jaume in the 84th minute of play. Felipe Jaume received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rodolfo Rodríguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Rodríguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Ramirez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodolfo Rodríguez came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's Ma Xiang Yang. But to his dismay, Ma Xiang Yang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Rodolfo Rodríguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melih-Hamza Joanesarson in the 93rd minute of the match.
