In a very dangerous position, a player in Atlético Municipal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Brother Lebron, was totally fooled by LinuX F.C.'s Jorge Padilla, who 10 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Eric Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Che Feliciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the LinuX F.C. defense, Che Feliciano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eric Duarte. The LinuX F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eric Duarte should have stopped the shot. In the 21st match minute, LinuX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nery Echeverria to maneuver through the defense. LinuX F.C.'s Eric Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Acevedo in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Che Feliciano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind LinuX F.C.'s goalkeeper Eric Duarte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Che Feliciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nery Echeverria kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After having played for 46 minutes, Che Feliciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Municipal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Che Feliciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Cayetano Hoa made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cayetano Hoa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eric Duarte was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. LinuX F.C.'s Eric Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save LinuX F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute of the match, Cayetano Hoa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eric Duarte saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Atlético Municipal made a substitution. Maxin Valonga replaced Cayetano Hoa. Maxin Valonga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Duarte having to interfere. Atlético Municipal's Bobby Cruz suffered a concussion after 61 minutes and had to leave the field. Adolfo Alpizar's late challenge caught a Atlético Municipal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Alpizar helped the player get up and apologised. Atlético Municipal's Bastiaro Fresco was substituted for Bobby Cruz. Bastiaro Fresco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eric Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Joe Arroyo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Maxin Valonga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, LinuX F.C.'s Mario Padilla got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Eric Duarte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maxin Valonga went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score.
