In the 43rd minute of the match José Pedro Simão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mihnea Brănescu skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to AFC Barcelona getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Tiberiu Chibulcutean hit a great ball.

With 60 minutes on the clock, Durvalino Sarmento commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The AFC Barcelona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
