In the 6th match minute, Família Ressaca MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Nunez Bastiaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Família Ressaca MZ's Simão Koehler got a free kick in the 7th minute. If Andres Azubeli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10thth minute of the game Nunez Bastiaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Família Ressaca MZ's Romeu Donato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Família Ressaca MZ's Romeu Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Umbruso in the 15th minute of play. Romeu Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Bastiaro in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Família Ressaca MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Koehler to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Andres Azubeli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Percy's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Azubeli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu Donato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the game, Nunez Bastiaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rio Percy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Família Ressaca MZ the free kick. The supporters of Família Ressaca MZ booed when Rio Percy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Bastiaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Ramiro Umbruso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio Percy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Umbruso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nunez Bastiaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alonzo Beltran kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Romeu Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Azubeli in the 40th minute of the match. Romeu Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Azubeli in the 43rd minute of play. Romeu Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Umbruso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Rio Percy's Romeu Donato threw himself towards the right post 48 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aldo Geofredo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nunez Bastiaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aldo Geofredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Romeu Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Bastiaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Rio Percy's Bai Le Zheng got control of the ball when Luiz Fábio Lopez tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Luiz Fábio Lopez fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Família Ressaca MZ's protests and gave Luiz Fábio Lopez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Luiz Fábio Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Nunez Bastiaro made a precise shot to the right of Romeu Donato. Família Ressaca MZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 70th minute Nunez Bastiaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Família Ressaca MZ's Wanderson Cerezo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Octavio Astrada in the 74 minute of the game. Tales Salles made in the 77th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Rio Percy's Octavio Astrada. When Ramiro Umbruso came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Rio Percy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Umbruso couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute of the match Família Ressaca MZ got a corner. Rio Percy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Augusto Trancoso ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Rio Percy's Nunez Bastiaro in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Família Ressaca MZ's goalie prevented a goal. Bernardinho Vieira's late challenge caught a Rio Percy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardinho Vieira helped the player get up and apologised. Bernardinho Vieira hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Rio Percy were the better team. Rio Percy's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
