Spectators: 172 (Terracing: 130, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Malcolm Hammarbäck started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Håkan Eklund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Péter Čech was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Bo-Erik Grelsson fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BK Värdsholmen's protests and gave Bo-Erik Grelsson a yellow card for diving instead. Sebastian Walroth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yaqub Aydinov went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Hümmät Abdulxälilov hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Péter Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peder Gernberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BK Värdsholmen were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Şamaxı Bankirlər's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roy Hamberg took the corner. BK Värdsholmen's Roy Hamberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Péter Čech in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 24th match minute, Şamaxı Bankirlər was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mirsaad Denisov to maneuver through the defense. Håkan Eklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Péter Čech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Şamaxı Bankirlər's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Eklund came free, but Péter Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Peder Gernberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BK Värdsholmen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Péter Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Eklund in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Yavär Tahirov got a free kick in the 38th minute. After 39 minutes, Håkan Eklund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Värdsholmen and the Şamaxı Bankirlər players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Şamaxı Bankirlər booed when BK Värdsholmen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Eklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Malcolm Hammarbäck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BK Värdsholmen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yaqub Aydinov was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yavär Tahirov during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With his leg Péter Čech managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when BK Värdsholmen's Malcolm Hammarbäck fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 59 minutes, Vasif Abdulazamov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Şamaxı Bankirlər and the BK Värdsholmen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roy Hamberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Péter Čech made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Peder Gernberg sent off a good shot on target. Sebastian Walroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loğman Hacibabayev in the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Konrad Hammarström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Péter Čech. Konrad Hammarström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Péter Čech stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Malcolm Hammarbäck's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. After 76th play minutes Malcolm Hammarbäck shot 1-7, a short shot which went by Péter Čech and just under the crossbar into goal. Håkan Eklund struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Péter Čech didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BK Värdsholmen. Şamaxı Bankirlər's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Malcolm Hammarbäck scored to the left of an out of position Péter Čech, making the score, 1-8. Åke Öman might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Péter Čech. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Åke Öman ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee felt a red card was in order, 90 minutes into the game, when Sven Häger put in a rough tackle. After 90 played minutes BK Värdsholmen got a freekick which was hit by Sven Häger. Sebastian Walroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muğan Färzäliyev in the 92nd minute of the match. BK Värdsholmen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
