The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Demis Mitsis during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Demis Mitsis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Rocha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Theodosis Kassapis. Green Horses's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Vaios Petridis came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Green Horses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vaios Petridis couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, Notis Bartzokas notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Rockets's Benjamin Mazza. Benjamin Mazza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sotiris Barberopoulos during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Theodosis Kassapis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Chaves in the 28th minute of play. Theodosis Kassapis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Chaves in the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Green Horses's Konstantinos D Artagnan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Tales de Carvalho hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Benjamin Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstantinos D Artagnan in the 37th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Konstantinos D Artagnan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benjamin Mazza. That made the score 4-0 in the 37 minute of play. Benjamin Mazza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Notis Bartzokas went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Notis Bartzokas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Green Horses's supporters rose to their feet, but Notis Bartzokas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Mazza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantinos D Artagnan in the 53rd minute of play forced Rockets's goalkeeper Benjamin Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Notis Bartzokas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Mazza was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. If Notis Bartzokas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Notis Bartzokas scored 9-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Mazza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benjamin Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantinos D Artagnan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rockets's Benjamin Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apostolos Mavrokordatos in the 95th minute of play. Rockets's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
