Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Flávio Tinoco started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Matadores FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Alex Félix hit a great ball. A well done corner resulted in Jeremias Oidor drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Matadores FC's goalkeeper. Flávio Tinoco charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flávio Tinoco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Matadores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flávio Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Ovidio Iaki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fecha Libre's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Iaki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo da Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Matadores FC booed when Fecha Libre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Paublo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Ovidio Iaki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Faustão Saldanha took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Leandro Cruz to make any attempt to save it. In the 31st minute Ovidio Iaki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Ovidio Iaki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo da Silva. Matadores FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ovidio Iaki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Iaki in the 40th minute of play forced Matadores FC's goalkeeper Paulo da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 55 minutes of play, Matadores FC's Faustão Saldanha made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leandro Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matadores FC's Paulo da Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Matadores FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Matadores FC's zone, Ale Garna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo da Silva came out of the goal and Ale Garna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo da Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cirilo Paublo's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Paulo da Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cirilo Paublo in the 71st minute. 77 minutes into the match, Matadores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cirilo Paublo came free, but Paulo da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leandro Cruz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustão Saldanha went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Paulo da Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cirilo Paublo's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 85th match minute, Matadores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luiz Secco to maneuver through the defense. Paulo da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Betadur in the 85th minute of play. Cirilo Paublos short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Paulo da Silva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 90th minute of the match, Cirilo Paublo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paulo da Silva was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Zeledon Orland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matadores FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fecha Libre for a fine match.
