After 11 minutes of play, Red Army's Benedykt Majewski made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Talat Zaik was left in no man's land by his defense there! Radomil Smolarek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Talat Zaik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. The corner ended in Wincent Lemiesz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Salsa F.C.'s Talat Zaik did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güven Aydemir in the 18th minute of play forced Red Army's goalkeeper Lech Konopka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Franciszek Prosowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Talat Zaik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Red Army's Lech Konopka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güven Aydemir in the 24th minute of play. Izydor Ludwa hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Lech Konopka was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Efe Kurt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 36 minute of play. Talat Zaik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Janusz Niedzwiecki's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afşin Sirer during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Afşin Sirer hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Olcay Çetinoz kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Real Salsa F.C.'s Beyhan Çağili got a free kick in the 46th minute. Benedykt Majewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Güven Aydemir stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Afşin Sirer was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Real Salsa F.C.'s Afşin Sirer got a free kick in the 56th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Red Army's zone, Efe Kurt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lech Konopka came out of the goal and Efe Kurt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Franciszek Prosowski fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Army's protests and gave Franciszek Prosowski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Red Army getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Franciszek Prosowski hit a great ball. Radomil Smolarek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Talat Zaik having to make a save. 65 minutes into the game, one of Red Army:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lech Konopka had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Beyhan Çağili's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 72nd minute, Red Army's Izydor Ludwa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Izydor Ludwa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Red Army protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Izydor Ludwa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efe Kurt during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Janusz Niedzwiecki's late challenge caught a Real Salsa F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Janusz Niedzwiecki helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, Red Army was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janusz Niedzwiecki to maneuver through the defense. The Real Salsa F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Red Army had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
