Adriano Di Marco's late challenge caught a Protegéerna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adriano Di Marco helped the player get up and apologised. Adriano Di Marco kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Borrelli in the 20th minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Holger Johnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Roy Bennet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Kristoffer Kock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th play minute Roy Bennet came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bruno Carciofo. 1-0. A collision led to Protegéerna getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Börge Arenberg hit a great ball. In the 39th match minute, Protegéerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erling Fredriksson to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute of the match Antonio Talone sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Holger Johnsson skillfully saved the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Demetrio Borrelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cesate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Protegéerna the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cesate's Demetrio Borrelli got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute Bernardo Ferreri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Johnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Demetrio Borrelli made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Demetrio Borrelli reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Holger Johnsson. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 55th minute, Kristoffer Kock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Carciofo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Bennet in the 59th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roy Bennet in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Carciofo saved Cesate from getting behind. After 64 minutes, Olof Löfkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Protegéerna and the Cesate players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Protegéerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Löfkvist to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Cesate booed when Protegéerna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Lind didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 74 played minutes Protegéerna got a freekick which was hit by Kristoffer Kock. After a rather tough play, Protegéerna's Olof Löfkvist got a free kick in the 78th minute. Olof Löfkvist hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Roy Gallberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Carciofo. Cesate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roy Gallberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. A throw-in in the 89th minute of the game was made by Cesare Capasso with Ennio Grasso as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Bruno Carciofo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Gallberg in the 91st minute of play. Cesate's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
