In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind flamengoric.'s goalkeeper Sven Josefsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Nelsinho Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Everardo Fernandez came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by flamengoric.'s Guilherme Henrique. But to his dismay, Guilherme Henrique quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Guilherme Henrique fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Fernandez having to interfere. Igor Cilio kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Everardo Fernandez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jorginho Torres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Emeterio in the 48th minute of play forced flamengoric.'s goalkeeper Sven Josefsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gogo Rivero during the 51st minute.
