György Király took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Everardo Fernandez. Everardo Fernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Hungarian Olympic booed when Atlético Montserrat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Cilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Máté Berta kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, György Edelényi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Everardo Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 30 minutes into the match, Máté Berta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Everardo Fernandez. Atlético Montserrat's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Máté Berta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After some careless play in the Atlético Montserrat defense, Máté Berta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Everardo Fernandez. The Atlético Montserrat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Everardo Fernandez should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Atlético Montserrat getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Luisito Fix hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Severo Cutberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Montserrat's Everardo Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by László Nemes in the 43rd minute of play.

The wind increased when Igor Cilio made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, István Császár managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungarian Olympic's supporters rose to their feet, but István Császár was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, István Császár dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Everardo Fernandez, 0-6. István Császár received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Everardo Fernandez came out and tried to block the shot, but István Császár slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute Cesar Ted shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but János Dala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, György Edelényi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Montserrat's Everardo Fernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Montserrat from getting a goal against them. With 83 minutes on the clock, Martin Berdaitz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 84 played minutes Atlético Montserrat got a freekick which was hit by Martin Berdaitz. Atlético Montserrat's Everardo Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnabás Weszely in the 86th minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, László Nemes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungarian Olympic's supporters crossed their fingers, but László Nemes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungarian Olympic's goalkeeper János Dala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Hungarian Olympic getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Tibor Hollósi hit a great ball. After 95 played minutes Atlético Montserrat got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Ted. Hungarian Olympic played a much better game than Atlético Montserrat and deserved their victory. The Atlético Montserrat players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
