Carlos Augusto Vander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After 20 played minutes Cachoeira Paulista F.c got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Barreto. The Rejunte de perros fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Rejunte de perros's Angelo Di Maria looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Di Maria in the 24th minute of play forced Cachoeira Paulista F.c's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Natanael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Umberto Gerber in the 57th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 58th minute of the game was made by Nestor Barreto with Doni Carvalho as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 62nd minute, Nestor Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cachoeira Paulista F.c's zone, Angelo Di Maria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Augusto Vander came out of the goal and Angelo Di Maria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
