The referee ignored Italia's protests and gave Fabian Gipuzkoa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Italia's Fabian Gipuzkoa got a free kick in the 40th minute. Gilberto Arias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri Leite in the 42nd minute. In the 44th match minute, Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Christobal to maneuver through the defense. If Telmo Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Pragmáticos 1903 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Italia were winning 0-2.
