Gaston Oskarbi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sertaç Cansefa in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniele Danza in the 7th minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Gaston Oskarbi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 minutes, Marcos Vargas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RIVER and the Civetta Calcio players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to RIVER getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Marcos Vargas hit a great ball. Anthony Sacchi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Rey in the 14th minute of the match. Anthony Sacchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Rey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Emanuele Corsi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Civetta Calcio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RIVER the free kick. Civetta Calcio's Anthony Sacchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Rojas in the 16th minute of play. Emanuele Corsi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Gaston Oskarbi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. During the 26th minute of the match Marcos Vargas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marcos Vargas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Marcos Vargas hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Anthony Sacchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Kelemen, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Gaston Oskarbi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesco Totti in the 34th minute of the match. Anthony Sacchi came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER's Pascual Austin. But to his dismay, Pascual Austin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 40th minute Francesco Totti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Oskarbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sertaç Cansefa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Oskarbi having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Pascual Austin managed to get in a good position for a shot. RIVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascual Austin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anthony Sacchi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Daniele Danza made the kick off in the second half. Gaston Oskarbi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniele Danza's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. When Octavio Atarrabi fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Civetta Calcio's protests and gave Octavio Atarrabi a yellow card for diving instead. RIVER were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Civetta Calcio's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Robert Rojas took the corner. The corner led RIVER's Robert Rojas to fire away a dangerous shot which Anthony Sacchi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hernan Kelemen kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Emanuele Corsi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Oskarbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Civetta Calcio getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Francesco Totti hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Corsi in the 76th minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Gaston Oskarbi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Daniele Danza sped through RIVER's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gaston Oskarbi. Civetta Calcio made a substitution. Santiago Pes replaced Bram Cockx. Gaston Oskarbi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Danza in the 83rd minute of play. Gaston Oskarbi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Danza, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Pes came free, but Gaston Oskarbi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Civetta Calcio made a substitution. Damiano Longo replaced Emanuele Corsi. Damiano Longo took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaston Oskarbi. Gaston Oskarbi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 94th minute Daniele Danza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Oskarbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Damiano Longo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Civetta Calcio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. When the referee ended the match the Civetta Calcio players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
