Dan Palmquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mugurel Oprea's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Dan Palmquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugurel Oprea, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the game, YR☆ Village Superstars's Edgar Oanță nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Palmquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 24th match minute, Djurgården IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gottfrid Eriksson to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Mugurel Oprea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dan Palmquist was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Djurgården IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leontin Azamfirei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mugurel Oprea to strike the kick off in the second half. If Adam Manciulea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mugurel Oprea got free with Dan Palmquist in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Cristea charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Cristea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th minute, Daniel Cristea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ted Ödmann took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Papaiani. Paul Papaiani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Mats Kinnman struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Paul Papaiani came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Djurgården IF's Mats Kinnman. But to his dismay, Mats Kinnman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Gottfrid Eriksson took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Papaiani. Paul Papaiani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Djurgården IF's Dan Palmquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Djurgården IF from getting a goal against them. If Folke Öman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Papaiani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Ödmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Mugurel Oprea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The YR☆ Village Superstars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-6. When the final whistle sounded YR☆ Village Superstars left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Djurgården IF.
