Ignacio Orland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11thth minute of the game Podador Raheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia FC's Ignacio Orland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ignacio Orland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Podador Raheiro in the 12th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Podador Raheiro in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacio Orland saved Academia FC from getting behind. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Podador Raheiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ignacio Orland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Podador Raheiro in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Podador Raheiro notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Academia FC's Ignacio Orland. Ignacio Orland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the game, Podador Raheiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ignacio Orland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hüseyin Rahmi Toper made a great header on Club Deportes Santa Cruz's corner, it was just that Academia FC's Ignacio Orland managed to reach the ball for a save. 29 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Ilkka Markkula had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nereo Kemen. Academia FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Constantino Rodriguez in the 30th minute. Ilkka Markkula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Ireno, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Podador Raheiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignacio Orland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Podador Raheiro ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Academia FC defense, Podador Raheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignacio Orland. The Academia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignacio Orland should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Yan Zhi Chuan was substituted for Podador Raheiro. Club Deportes Santa Cruz made a substitution. Trayko Gradinarski replaced Zhou Yao Si. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Martxot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Academia FC's Ignacio Orland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yan Zhi Chuan in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Yan Zhi Chuan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ignacio Orland was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when Academia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Argider didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Yan Zhi Chuan got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the game, Yan Zhi Chuan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ignacio Orland. Yan Zhi Chuan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. Thanks to some nice moves Trayko Gradinarski could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Ignacio Orland however easily saved by the left post. Yan Zhi Chuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignacio Orland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yan Zhi Chuan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute, Yan Zhi Chuan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. Yan Zhi Chuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ignacio Orland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Orland came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Yan Zhi Chuan. But to his dismay, Yan Zhi Chuan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. In the 85th minute, Yan Zhi Chuan made a precise shot to the right of Ignacio Orland. Academia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-13. 88 minutes into the game, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Yan Zhi Chuan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ignacio Orland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-14. In the 91st minute, Academia FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Yan Zhi Chuan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Academia FC's Ignacio Orland got control of the ball when Trayko Gradinarski tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yan Zhi Chuan in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacio Orland saved Academia FC from getting behind.
