After 7 played minutes BFC 1982 got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Bortzaioriz. Geovânio Camargo struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Abel Bordat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bezerros EC. Gino Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Corderall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, BFC 1982 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Txanton to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of BFC 1982 booed when Bezerros EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Bordat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Corrêa in the 21st minute of play. Abel Bordat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovânio Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. It was a well-played corner which Dráuzio Tasso managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to BFC 1982 getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Saturnino Txanton hit a great ball. The supporters of Bezerros EC booed when BFC 1982 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Bortzaioriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Bordat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Corrêa in the 34th minute. When Bezerros EC's Geovânio Camargo in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BFC 1982's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio Camargo in the 43rd minute of play forced BFC 1982's goalkeeper Abel Bordat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to BFC 1982 getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Augusto Bortzaioriz hit a great ball. Bezerros EC's Dedé Loyola shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Abel Bordat but with some difficulty.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ambrosio Etxatxu was the one to do the kick off. Dráuzio Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 53 minutes into the match, Geovânio Camargo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Bordat. BFC 1982's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovânio Camargo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 57 played minutes BFC 1982 got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Bortzaioriz. BFC 1982's Ernesto Egoitz quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Edinho Corrêa, made in the 60th minute of the game. After some careless play in the BFC 1982 defense, Dráuzio Tasso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Bordat. The BFC 1982 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Bordat should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute Geovânio Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Bordat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Bordat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. BFC 1982's Abel Bordat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovânio Camargo in the 67th minute of play. Dráuzio Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Bordat having to interfere. The supporters of Bezerros EC booed when BFC 1982 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Bortzaioriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dedé Loyola took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abel Bordat. BFC 1982's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 80 played minutes BFC 1982 got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Txanton. Geovânio Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
