Abel Bordat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzo Ivanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Gonzo Ivanov notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of BFC 1982's Abel Bordat. Abel Bordat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gonzo Ivanov took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Bordat. Abel Bordat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Toni Nenchev scored 0-4 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abel Bordat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute, Toni Nenchev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Bordat was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. If Ambrosio Etxatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Iliya Kasabov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toni Nenchev to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 50 minutes, Inocencio Corderall put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Vute Baliev. After a rather tough play, BFC 1982's Jonathan Oroitz got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, BFC 1982's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzo Ivanov came free, but Abel Bordat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Gonzo Ivanov took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Abel Bordat to make any attempt to save it. In the 64th minute, Volodya Biradzhiev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inocencio Corderall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Vute Baliev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Gonzo Ivanov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abel Bordat, 1-7. In the 73rd minute Paolo Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Bordat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inocencio Corderall took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vute Baliev. Vute Baliev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-7. 79 minutes into the match, BFC 1982's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzo Ivanov came free, but Abel Bordat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nano Mitrashkov hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Abel Bordat was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Gonzo Ivanov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gonzo Ivanov really showed his touch with that goal: 2-8. Gonzo Ivanovs short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Abel Bordat to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, BFC 1982's Augusto Bortzaioriz got a free kick in the 90th minute. Abel Bordat didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 92nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-9. The DARAS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing DARAS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
