FC MeHigh's players were relieved. 3 minutes into the game, Jörgen Magnusson lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Florin Zăhărescu. Jörgen Magnusson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Florin Zăhărescu made a huge save. 10 minutes into the game, Romeo Bogdănescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC MeHigh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linghed Angels FC the free kick. Romeo Bogdănescu hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Braru in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, FC MeHigh's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Ødegaard came free, but Florin Zăhărescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Linghed Angels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Cojan came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remus Cojan in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Seaman saved Linghed Angels FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remus Cojan in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Seaman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Seaman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leontin Iorgovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Linghed Angels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Cojan came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC MeHigh's zone, Jörgen Magnusson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florin Zăhărescu came out of the goal and Jörgen Magnusson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Iorgovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 41st minute Fu Ling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Zăhărescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes, Declan Rice mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Linghed Angels FC and the FC MeHigh players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Linghed Angels FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Declan Rice to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remus Cojan to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, David Seaman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Florin Zăhărescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fu Ling in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Dan Braru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute of the match Declan Rice shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florin Zăhărescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leontin Iorgovan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC MeHigh's Nichifor Geangu was substituted for Romeo Bogdănescu. A collision led to FC MeHigh getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vasile Vădan hit a great ball. Jörgen Magnusson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Florin Zăhărescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, FC MeHigh's goal looked a bit too open when Fu Ling came free, but Florin Zăhărescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Jörgen Magnusson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Zăhărescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC MeHigh's Nabucodonosor von der Schulenburg was substituted for Remus Cojan. FC MeHigh's Lucian Voican was substituted for Leontin Iorgovan. After a defensive mix-up in FC MeHigh's zone, Ove Hellström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florin Zăhărescu came out of the goal and Ove Hellström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC MeHigh's Florin Zăhărescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörgen Magnusson in the 77th minute of play. When Jörgen Magnusson came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Linghed Angels FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörgen Magnusson couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, FC MeHigh's goal looked a bit too open when Fu Ling came free, but Florin Zăhărescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Seaman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucian Voican in the 89th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC MeHigh players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Linghed Angels FC.
