After 3 minutes of play, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Santiago Luzano made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sigvardt Bech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Luzano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 played minutes Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Christovao Haces had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vagner Vennitze. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Christovao Haces, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goal looked a bit too open when Kalle Molnit came free, but Christovao Haces reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loui Bargmann got a throw-in 16 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Claes Katsir. If Kalle Molnit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Christovao Haces got control of the ball when Kalle Molnit tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christovao Haces took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magnus Steinwart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Tubia charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Tubia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Club Dep. Soc. Holmkjar Hotspurs's supporters rose to their feet, but Magnus Steinwart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christovao Haces breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Christovao Haces played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Steinwart in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Club Dep. Soc. Rodo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Molnit in the 51st minute of play forced Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Christovao Haces to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's zone, Kalle Molnit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christovao Haces came out of the goal and Kalle Molnit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Loui Bargmann fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Holmkjar Hotspurs's protests and gave Loui Bargmann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th match minute, Holmkjar Hotspurs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loui Bargmann to maneuver through the defense. If Santiago Luzano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 60 minutes into the match, Holmkjar Hotspurs's goalkeeper Sigvardt Bech had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Luzano. Edvard Lillebroe went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Holmkjar Hotspurs's corner Edvard Lillebroe fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Christovao Haces quite easily take care of the ball. Christovao Haces made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franck Lydicksen in the 85th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oluf Ankerbøl in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christovao Haces prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 92 played minutes Club Dep. Soc. Rodo got a freekick which was hit by Rius Monje. Kalle Molnit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christovao Haces having to interfere. The Holmkjar Hotspurs manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Club Dep. Soc. Rodo to win.
