João Vítor Bittencourt scored 2-3 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doni Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in ARS FUTEBOL's zone, João Vítor Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After the first half Gavião Kyikatejê were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Eduardo Souza to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor Bittencourt in the 89th minute of play forced ARS FUTEBOL's goalkeeper Doni Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Carlos Eduardo Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Innes McWalter was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. A collision led to Gavião Kyikatejê getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Richard McNeish hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute of the match Eduardo Vidal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Innes McWalter skillfully saved the ball.
