The coaching staff of Med Gang FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nils-Erik Allbom had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 31 minutes into the game, one of Med Gang FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After the first half Esquadrão Lusitano were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
