In the 12th minute of the match, Emanuel Hjelm got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alberto Ridding was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 14th minute, Hector Markel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alberto Ridding. The goal made the score 2-0. When El Imperio del Cuervo's Davi Vogler in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alberto Ridding didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Hjelm went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Alan Fraser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Paulino Onofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Douglas Christian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Adelaide's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Christian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Onofre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rdth minute of the game Davi Vogler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Adelaide's Alberto Ridding was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Christian in the 36th minute of play forced El Imperio del Cuervo's goalkeeper Paulino Onofre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Adelaide's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Emanuel Hjelm fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Alberto Ridding didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filiberto Cristofor went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Adelaide getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Douglas Christian hit a great ball. Alberto Ridding made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Filiberto Cristofor sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Ridding made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Markel in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Douglas Christian was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Markel in the 54th minute of play forced Adelaide's goalkeeper Alberto Ridding to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Ridding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Cristofor in the 55th minute of the match. Hector Markel took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Ridding. Alberto Ridding dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 59th minute Hector Markel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Ridding saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Ridding showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Cristofor, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute, Hector Markel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Ridding was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. After 68 played minutes El Imperio del Cuervo got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Atarratze. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Cristofor in the 70th minute of play forced Adelaide's goalkeeper Alberto Ridding to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Hector Markel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Imperio del Cuervo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 77th minute of the match El Imperio del Cuervo got a corner. Adelaide's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niceto Tano ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Niceto Tano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alberto Ridding quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alberto Ridding made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Cristofor in the 82nd minute of play. Alberto Ridding made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Markel in the 84th minute of play. Alberto Ridding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Markel in the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of El Imperio del Cuervo booed when Adelaide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirby Houldsworth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Atarratze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Ridding having to interfere.
