Stanimir Dragnev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jude Cruz went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Ninjas in Pyjamas booed when CRUZ DEL SUR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elías Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ninjas in Pyjamas's zone, Jose Manuel Guilisasti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanimir Dragnev came out of the goal and Jose Manuel Guilisasti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st match minute, Ninjas in Pyjamas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerônimo Lira to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Zogreanu came free, but Juan Pedro Owen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ninjas in Pyjamas getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Codrin Zdrobău hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Jude Cruz made a precise shot to the right of Stanimir Dragnev. Ninjas in Pyjamas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 63rd minute Juan María Maeztu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanimir Dragnev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanimir Dragnev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jude Cruz in the 64th minute of play. Stanimir Dragnev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jude Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cerilo Gamboa couldn't finish the play. Stanimir Dragnev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan María Maeztu, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Juan María Maeztu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Stanimir Dragnev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CRUZ DEL SUR walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
