John Hedbom yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Olov Pilgren took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Dias. Alexandre Dias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some careless play in the BARBARIDADE G.M. defense, Olov Pilgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexandre Dias. The BARBARIDADE G.M. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexandre Dias should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Tre Starka booed when BARBARIDADE G.M. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivo Passos during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ivo Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. John Hedbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Mello in the 40th minute of play. A hard shot 43 in the game by Richard-Dean Rodrigues from a close distance when the talented John Hedbom managed to make a qualified save. Tre Starka's players were relieved. Tre Starka's Olov Pilgren got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Richard-Dean Rodrigues made a kick off. After 50 played minutes Tre Starka got a freekick which was hit by Vilhelm Kilberg. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Tre Starka's Olov Pilgren in the 55th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Alexandre Dias was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for BARBARIDADE G.M. through an amazing save. If Dário Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Dias made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Olov Pilgren sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in BARBARIDADE G.M.'s zone, Olov Pilgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Dias came out of the goal and Olov Pilgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wictor Björklund got free with Alexandre Dias in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Olov Pilgren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alexandre Dias. That made the score 1-3 in the 77 minute of play. John Hedbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Ponte, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute Olov Pilgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 played minutes Tre Starka got a freekick which was hit by Klas Löfkvist. The Tre Starka supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tre Starka would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
