Spectators: 155 (Terracing: 117, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Melchor Rosio started the match with the kick off. Túlio Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Bixintxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. If Leopoldo Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Acácio Sanches got free with Sergio Romero in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Túlio Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Tipi in the 8th minute of the match. The supporters of ALTHENTIC F.C booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Tipi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute of the match, Acácio Sanches tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sergio Romero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 24 minutes into the game, ALTHENTIC F.C's Acácio Sanches nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergio Romero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 27th minute, Kiko Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Di Maria in the 28th minute of play forced ALTHENTIC F.C's goalkeeper Túlio Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Eriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Túlio Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to ALTHENTIC F.C getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alex Furtado hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Melchor Rosio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting de Gijón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 36th minute Elpidio Bixintxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ALTHENTIC F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Túlio Cerezo should have stopped the shot. After the first half Sporting de Gijón were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Acácio Sanches made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Bixintxo in the 56th minute of play forced ALTHENTIC F.C's goalkeeper Túlio Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 58 minutes, Elpidio Bixintxo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting de Gijón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elpidio Bixintxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celestino Illart hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Alex Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. With a little luck, ALTHENTIC F.C's Túlio Cerezo got control of the ball when Elpidio Bixintxo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Elpidio Bixintxo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting de Gijón's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Bixintxo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Túlio Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78thth minute of the game Elpidio Bixintxo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ALTHENTIC F.C's Túlio Cerezo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Sporting de Gijón's Elpidio Bixintxo in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ALTHENTIC F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Elpidio Bixintxo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Túlio Cerezo made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Celestino Illart sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Sporting de Gijón's Celestino Illart dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Sporting de Gijón played a much better game than ALTHENTIC F.C and deserved their victory. The ALTHENTIC F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
