Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Özen Baroğlu in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Freddie Dahlman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to O.T.E getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Donyo Dragiyski hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, O.T.E's Markos Theodoropoulos got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Stamatis Banasidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Loncki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th match minute, O.T.E was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menelaos Anatolakis to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in O.T.E's zone, Seme Carasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stamatis Banasidis came out of the goal and Seme Carasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Özen Baroğlu to strike the kick off in the second half. Freddie Dahlman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özen Baroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When O.T.E's Özen Baroğlu in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
