In the 10th minute Zlatko Goričan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aggelos Markoulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Duško Turnšek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aggelos Markoulis. Glyka Nera FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duško Turnšek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Aggelos Markoulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duško Turnšek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The HIT Gorica fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when HIT Gorica's Zlatko Goričan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Glyka Nera FC's Aggelos Markoulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brite McCready in the 24th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Glyka Nera FC got a freekick which was hit by Loukianos Venetidis. In the 30th minute Zlatko Goričan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aggelos Markoulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Glyka Nera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Duško Turnšek came free, but Aggelos Markoulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. HIT Gorica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glyka Nera FC the free kick.

Istok Šabotić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. HIT Gorica made a substitution.
