The Esquirla FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimitri Huijbreghts should have stopped the shot. Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Raimundo Ioritz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitri Huijbreghts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Nesor, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Kasper Viskens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Utopía Muerta FC's Primitivo Gonzales nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 29 played minutes Utopía Muerta FC got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Weather. 30 minutes into the match, Ricki Martín had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimundo Ioritz. Utopía Muerta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricki Martín was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 34th match minute, Utopía Muerta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Toribio to maneuver through the defense. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Gonzales in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match Utopía Muerta FC got a corner. Esquirla FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jacinto Toribio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Raimundo Ioritz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esquirla FC. Dimitri Huijbreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Gonzales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Esquirla FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Utopía Muerta FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricki Martín stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Esquirla FC booed when Utopía Muerta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Toribio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Esquirla FC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Esquirla FC's Ricki Martín looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Marco Nataniel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dimitri Huijbreghts. That made the score 2-3 in the 57 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kasper Viskens in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Ioritz saved Utopía Muerta FC from getting behind. Esquirla FC were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Utopía Muerta FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Laurens Van Aken took the corner. After 70 minutes, Gregorie De Mees mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esquirla FC and the Utopía Muerta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gregorie De Mees hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts got control of the ball when Marco Nataniel tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Tiso in the 77th minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Dimitri Huijbreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dimitri Huijbreghts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Nataniel in the 78th minute. After 81 minutes Utopía Muerta FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Laurens Van Aken who took care of the corner kick. Dimitri Huijbreghts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Tiso in the 86th minute. Utopía Muerta FC's Raimundo Ioritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Viskens in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Marco Tiso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dimitri Huijbreghts. That made the score 2-6 in the 96 minute of play. Utopía Muerta FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
