The Fluminense DF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmílson Simão should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Placido Abaunza during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Utopía Muerta FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Placido Abaunza hit a great ball. Edgard Emeterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Edmílson Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fluminense DF's zone, Primitivo Gonzales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmílson Simão came out of the goal and Primitivo Gonzales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacinto Toribio got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Pedrinho Ruben kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Primitivo Gonzales managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utopía Muerta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Primitivo Gonzales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmílson Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raimundo Ioritz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Décio Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Edgard Emeterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmílson Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Gonzales in the 85th minute of play. If Décio Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Utopía Muerta FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
