Evaristo Siqueira had great luck who in the 22ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Beto Trigo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 23rd minute, Fausto Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Arantes during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Relyn Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Eurico Palmeira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Relyn Futebol Clube's Juan Vieira didn't even have to move. In the 31st minute Mathias Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Guimarães in the 32nd minute of play forced Relyn Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Juan Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Cícero Moura hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Relyn Futebol Clube's Hílton Lago got a free kick in the 35th minute. Eurico Palmeira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juan Vieira. Relyn Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Evaristo Siqueira got control of the ball when Fausto Valladares tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Floripa Lions FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Moura to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Raúl Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raúl Guimarães to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Jonas Arantes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Vieira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Juan Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Batista in the 60th minute of the match. Juan Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias Gaúcho in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonas Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Floripa Lions FSCMZ getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Cícero Moura hit a great ball. Luciano Batista's late challenge caught a Relyn Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luciano Batista helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Floripa Lions FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Batista to maneuver through the defense. When Cícero Moura fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Floripa Lions FSCMZ's protests and gave Cícero Moura a yellow card for diving instead. The Floripa Lions FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Floripa Lions FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
